About Us

St. Thomas United Methodist Church Haymarket Campus is a new faith community in the Haymarket, VA area. We are a satellite church of Manassas St. Thomas United Methodist Church.

Manassas St. Thomas UMC have expanded into the Haymarket area with a satellite campus under the pastoral guidance of Rev. Matthew Smith. Rev. Smith came to MSTUMC January 2007 from the Virginia Annual Conference as an associate pastor and to be the lead pastor in the rapidly growing areas in Prince William County of Haymarket, Gainesville and Bristow.

The first weekly church service for the Haymarket Campus was held in February 2008 at Giuseppe's Italian Restaurant on Main Street in Haymarket. In the fall of that year we expanded to two services to best utilize our limited space at that location.

In March 2009, after a successful first year, we relocated by renting space at Gravely Elementary School in Haymarket for our services and other ministries. The new location provided our growing congregation with more space for worship activities and also allowed for an expanded children's ministry and spiritual formation classes.
